VIDEO: Reading 1 Sheffield Wednesday 1 - Owls will be happy with draw says The Star's Dom Howson

The Star's Sheffield Wednesday writer Dom Howson says the Owls' 1-1 draw with Reading has to go down as a good result.

Wednesday went ahead early on through new permanent signing Gary Hooper, the former Norwich City striker scoring his seventh goal in seven games. Reading squandered a first-half penalty when Matej Vydra struck a post from the spot, but they levelled 16 minutes from the end as defender Jake Cooper nodded home.

But Dom says that having been on the backfoot for lengthy periods of the game at the Madejski Stadium, Wednesday should be happy to take a point.

"It was a good result I think, in the end, for the Owls," said Howson. "They had to soak up a lot of pressure particularly in the second half."

Wednesday remain in the play off positions, in sixth place, ahead of Birmingham on goal difference.
