Travelling Sheffield Wednesday fans paid tribute to tragic 17-year-old Josh Vaughan, who was hit by a train.

The Owls fan, from Ironside Crescent, Chapeltown, was hit by a train at 9.15pm on Wednesday.

Fans at the game against Nottingham Forest paid their respects to the youngster on the 17th minute of the match in Nottingham by standing and applauding for a minute.

Earlier today, Josh’s family issued an emotional statement for their ‘dearly loved son’, while school friends have left tributes to the youngster.

Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious.
