Abdi fired in moments after Keiren Westwood had saved a penalty, giving Wednesday the lead and Fernando Forestieir doubled that with an equally impressive goal in the second half.

"He was one of three changes made and it's not really happened for Abdi since he's come to Hillsborough, that was his first start in two months and if that goal doesn't give him the boost going forward, nothing will."
