We asked Michelle to pick out for us her favourite ‘Christmas present’ style items and her selection didn’t disappoint...

First on Michelle’s list was a pair of kiddies’ shoes from Sheffield designer Poco Nido, who sells her designs all over the world.

“I love these; the shoes are £16, or come in gift packs at £23 and are for little ones aged three months to two years,” Michelle said.

Next up was jewellery by You Earth Ash, made using natural precious stones mined in Brazil and forged right here in the city.

“It’s such beautiful stuff,” said Michelle.

“I love chunky statement jewellery like this and they’re a really big seller - a great gift for the ladies.”

You Earth Ash stocks necklaces, earrings and rings and many of their items are available for between £10 and £30.

Designer Velvet Moth was next on the agenda with a series of original, customised handbags,

Michelle said: “If you get one of these for your wife or girlfriend, she’s going to have something truly one-of-a-kind, which women really love.

“The designer always seems to have her finger on the pulse.”

Another one for the kids was a collection of novelty rugs by Rosa Dama, which come in all sorts of weird and wonderful designs; ladybirds, bears and flowers.

“They’re so unique it’s crazy and are really colourful and wonderful,” said Michelle.

“My two favourites, the bear and the ladybird, are just £20 and £25 each.”

Sheffield designer TeaWear creates a stunning range of silver jewellery using vintage cutlery - with rings made from spoons, bracelets made from sugar tongs and earrings made from forks.

Michelle said: “They’re wonderful gifts as they’re unique and what a great history they have.”

Michelle’s favourite ring was £25, earrings £20 and bangle £25.

Michelle couldn’t resist pointing out a fantastic collection of customised baby grows and t-shirts by Rosa b Designs, before finally leading us over to a shelf of ‘stocking filler’ goodies - which included novelty doorstops, drumstick pencils, Christmas pudding binbags and vinyl record clocks.

“I love this stuff, it’s what Christmas is all about, so come check it out!”
