VIDEO: Doncaster's hip-swivelling mystery crooner is back

The man was spotted entertaining town centre shoppers earlier this week - singing and dancing to a string of hits in front of bemused bypassers.

The singer has been spotted several times around the Doncaster over the last few years drawing looks from shoppers of all ages, entertained by his dance moves and renditions of a host of Sixties songs in his own style.

He was spotted on Baxter Gate on Monday lunchtime, singing a version of Dean Martin's Slow Boat To China. It is thought to be the first time he has been in action for several months.

Last year, the Stetson wearing crooner up position in the same street and treated passers-by to songs such as Let’s Dance by Chris Montez and Please Release Me by Engelbert Humperdinck in his own inimitable style.

Last summer, assistants at the nearby Ann Summers shop were spotted giggling as the man, dressed in a cowboy hat and brightly coloured waistcoat, swivelled his hips and danced along to his songs.

This time round, he ditched the hat but was still drawing looks from shoppers as he entertained lunchtime crowds.

At Christmas, he donned a Santa hat and took up a spot outside the former Walkabout pub in Priory Walk with a microphone and amp to blast out songs in his own unique manner.

Passers-by on that occasions were treated to songs such as The Power Of Love by Jennifer Rush, When You Walk In The Room by The Searchers and Hero by Enqriue Iglesias.
