Danielle Stoton’s family is now looking forward to celebrating the ‘best Christmas ever’ after the 18-year-old amazed medics with her progress. It marks a remarkable upturn in fortunes for the family which feared Danielle may not pull through after she suffered life-threatening head injuries when she collided with a car as she walked home from a party in August.

In an exclusive interview with the Free Press, Danielle, of Harris Road, Armthorpe, said it felt ‘ace’ to be able to go home for Christmas. She will spend the day with parents Michelle and Paul as well as sister Yasmine. Michelle has called the news a ‘miracle’.
