Cheeky Chops is looking for a second chance to be somebody’s much-loved pet pooch in South Yorkshire.

The two-and-a-half-year-old crossbreed ended up at RSPCA Sheffield following concerns about his welfare – and now the furry fella needs a new home.

Tony Benham, RSPCA Sheffield animal care manager, said: “Chops is a real cutie who is looking for that extra special home.

“He came to us through an investigation into his welfare and is now ready to look for his perfect forever home.

“Chops can be a timid and frightened boy when he first meets you and takes time to bond with you and trust you.

“However, once he does, there is no stopping his love and affection. He would be delighted to have that second chance in life.”

Chops needs a quiet home with experienced owners who are willing to make several trips to the centre in Attercliffe to get to know him.

Mr Benham said: “Due to his initial timidity, followed by a touch of excitability on first meeting people, if his new home has children we would prefer them to be over the age of 14. This hopefully means that they can also contribute to his training.
