A popular upmarket Sheffield restaurant is set to remain closed for the next few days while bosses clean up after a blaze.
The Milestone in Kelham Island will be closed until early next week following the fire yesterday afternoon.
Notices telling customers of the temporary closure have been attached to the windows, with an apology for any inconvenience caused by the shutdown.
Three fire engines were called out to the premises in Green Lane at around 3.30pm as smoke began billowing from the restaurant.
Today, upstairs windows were open at the restaurant to air the building following the fire and there were signs of charring around a rear kitchen door following the blaze, which South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue chiefs said was started by a deep fat fryer.
Yesterday, Adam Murray, Director of Coda Planning on Green Lane tweeted a picture showing flames in an upstairs room of the restaurant.
Mr Murray announced that they had been evacuated from the building and were closed for the rest of the day.
He tweeted: "Everyone fine here and @TheMilestone but the building is not looking good next door."
