The 18-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for Boro, but has impressed in their youth squads and regularly featured in the Under-19s' UEFA Youth League.

Chapman has signed a youth loan deal at Oakwell until the end of the season and is available for tomorrow’s trip to Crewe, where he’s set to make his Reds debut.

A winger was top priority for caretaker boss Paul Heckingbottom after Adam Hammill was banned for three games after being sent off on Tuesday night against Bury.

"I’m delighted to have Harry join us," he said.

"He is an exceptional talent and is very highly thought of at Middlesbrough. We're very grateful to them for allowing him to join us.

"I'm sure he can prove valuable for us as we head into the final run-in, and hopefully we will prove valuable to him in his development as a promising young footballer."
