VIDEO: Adkins praise for 'exhilarating' Sheffield United after 3-0 win over Oldham Athletic
John Brayford opened the scoring with a fine strike and Ryan Flynn, like Brayford one of the stars for the home side, doubled the advantage with another well-taken goal.
Brayford provided an excellent assist for Billy Sharp to complete the scoring after the break, with the entire team drawing praise from the manager afterwards.

Hide AdAdkins said: "We started brightly - over the past couple of games we've done alright but we haven;t converted the amount of chances we've created and today's we've got off to a good start. Good goal from John Brayford, Ryan Flynn...I thought we were exhilarating at times going forward. Everyone was working hard to press in the right areas.
"It's an attack-minded set-up that we've got. Matty Done and John Brayford, our two wing backs had licence to push on and I thought they did ever so well."
Adkins also gave praise to Dean Hammond who he revealed had been feeling unwell in the first half, but despite this turned in an excellent performance in the middle of the park.
"We didn't realise but Dean saw the medic at half time, he wasn't very well," said Adkins. "He was sick all the way through the first half, but you saw how hard he worked and he does all the horrible things that people don't want to see."
