A MAN was left with a broken jaw after he was punched in the face by a Sheffield teenager.

The victim, aged 30, from Lincolnshire, was walking towards Abbeydale Road in Nether Edge, past a group of eight teenagers when one of the struck him in the face.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said the attack happened at the junction of Woodstock Road and Empire Road, Sheffield.

The man suffered a broken jaw in the attack on Saturday, June 2, at about 8pm.

The attacker is described as Asian, in his late teens and of average height and build.

The force spokesman said: “If anyone witnessed or has any information regarding the incident, they are urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1171 of June 2.”
