A SMALL number of tickets will be available on the door to a star-studded cricket match taking place in Sheffield today.

Sport-lovers can snap up the last batch of passes to watch Michael Vaughan’s XI, which will see the team which won the Ashes in 2005 take on England Legends XI at Abbeydale Sports Club in Dore.

Michael, who was raised in Sheffield and now lives in Baslow, has organised the event to raise cash for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity and his Michael Vaughan Cricket Academy.

Gates will be open from noon and tickets on the door will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Twenty20 cricket match between the sporting stars, including footballer Robbie Savage, will take place at 3.30pm. The event also includes a family fun day and junior cricket competitions.

Entry is £20 for adults and £10 for OAPs and children under 16. Family tickets, with entry for two adults and two children, are £45.
