Van stolen from Barnsley found stripped of parts in Rotherham

Photographs have been released showing the shell of a stolen van after it was stripped of its parts and dumped in Rotherham.

The transit van was stolen from Worsbrough, Barnsley, and found dumped near Talbot Road, Swinton, on Tuesday.

It had been stripped of its engine,transmission, lights, seats, dashboard, side door and other internal panels.

South Yorkshire Police said a number of vehicle chassis and parts have been found dumped in areas including Abdey Lane, Wath; Back Lane, Rawmarsh; Linthwaite Lane, Wentworth; Firsby Lane and Firsby Reservoir, Hooton Roberts, over recent weeks.

Anyone with information on those involved should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
