More than 500 people will pack into the Diamond Live Lounge on Wood Street for the concert on March 22 - the first sell-out at the venue for 2016.

The band formed in 1991 and have released a number of singles and albums across the world.

They hit international fame in the early 2000’s with their song, Blurry, a song reaching number 5 in the US and viewed more than 46million times on YouTube.

In total the band have released six albums, won four awards at the Billboard, and scooped the best single at the 2002 Kerrang! awards.

Dominic Gibbs of Diamond Live Lounge said: “We are extremely proud but not surprised that the venue has sold out for this gig. Puddle of Mudd come with a successful history and were a household name in the 2000’s. As soon as we announced this gig, social media platforms went crazy and I think we sold over half the allocated tickets within the first fortnight.

“On March 22 the Diamond Live Lounge atmosphere will be electric and the US rock giants will raise the roof of this building. This is the first time we have sold out this year but we have come close with other bands like The Selecter and the Clone Roses.

“Many people are obviously disappointed but we say this time and time again, if you’re interested in attending the gigs, get them when they are available. We can never promise that they will be available on the night and prices are always cheaper when you buy in advance. So if you don’t want to miss out on future gigs, avoid disappointment by purchasing from our website when they are announced.”
