The Star understands a young woman killed in a car crash in Rotherham on Wednesday was due to get married in a few weeks.
Sophie Emma Dawson, a 30-year-old teacher from Wickersley, died in a collision on Kilnhurst Road, Hooton Roberts, on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 2.50pm and Sophie was airlifted to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield but could not be saved.
It is believed her pupils had been given half-term homework to make Sophie a wedding card.
She had been driving a black Citroen C1 along Kilnhurst Road when she was involved in a collision with a black Kia Rio travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the other car involved - an 18-year-old man - escaped with minor injuries.
Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
