A woman escaped without serious injuries after crashing into a wall on a busy Sheffield road.

She was driving a blue Peugeot 207 along the exit slip road at the junction of the Sheffield Parkway and Prince Of Wales Road when she crashed at 9.05am.

The incident happened as the car was driving away from Sheffield.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "The woman driving was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure but is not believed to be injured."
