UPDATE: Travel disruption between Sheffield and Huddersfield expected until end of day

Northern Rail have issued a travel update following an incident earlier.

Northern Rail have issued the update following an incident at Denby Dale station which left a road vehicle blocking the line.

Disruption is now expected until the end of the day.

Road replacement transport has been recruited to operate between Huddersfield and Barnsley.

Along with Ultimate Coaches taking passengers between Huddersfield and Barnsley, there will also be a coach provided by Keats and and four-mini buses provided by Alpha and Fair Deal.

Buses will depart Huddersfield at 18 minutes past the hour towards Barnsley.

Buses will depart Barnsley at 15 minutes past the hour towards Huddersfield.

Ultimate coaches will be taking passengers between Huddersfield and Barnsley in both directions until further notice.
