UPDATE: Power restored to hundreds of Sheffield homes after earlier problems
Power has been restored to around 750 homes in Sheffield after problems caused by gale-force winds earlier today.
Hundreds of homes in Dore were plunged into darkness earlier this afternoon as a result of weather problems caused by Storm Doris.
Engineers stated that around 850 homes have been affected by the power cut, caused by a problem on the electricity network.
However, Northern Powergrid revealed that they had restored supply to "most customers" in S17 and are working to have all remaining customers sorted by 9pm.
