Officers searching for a 'high-risk' missing man found him at a location over 20 miles away from his Doncaster home, police confirmed today.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said this afternoon: "Officers were in the Ascot Avenue area of Cantley as part of a search for a high-risk missing person.

"The 32-year-old Doncaster man was reported missing from home at around 1.30pm on Friday, July 29 and located in the Wakefield area at around 7.30pm the same day.

Residents in the area reported seeing a large police presence in the Ascot Avenue of Cantley on Friday afternoon, following the 32-year-old's disappearance.
