UPDATE: Police find body in search of missing Sheffield man last seen on Christmas Eve

Mr Beal, aged 40, of Stocksbridge, was last seen outside his home on Christmas Eve around 5.30pm.

Officers involved in the hunt for Mr Beal have confirmed that they have found a body in the Pot House Wood area of Stocksbridge.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death South Yorkshire Police have said.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: “We can confirm that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of David Beal.

“Specialist officers are supporting his family at this incredibly sad time.

“Our thoughts are with David’s family.”
