UPDATE: Man, 20, dies following collision in Sheffield

Police said 20-year-old Sean Craig Salvin from Sheffield was in a red Volkswagen Golf that crashed while travelling along Ecclesfield Road in the area known as Wooley Wood Bottom at about 10.30pm last night.

Mr Salvin died from his injuries. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Sean’s family has asked that their privacy be respected at this most difficult time and therefore please take care when posting on social media.

“An investigation is underway and officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.

“Please call 101 quoting incident number 1092 of 30 December 2015.”
