UPDATE: Knifeman robs Doncaster shop in broad daylight leaving staff terrifiedÂ

A knifeman threatened terrified staff during an armed robbery in broad daylight at a Doncaster shop.

Two men '“ one of which was armed with a knife '“ entered the Bargain Booze store in Great North Road, Woodlands, and started making threats to workers inside.

They then stole property and fled the scene. 

Nobody was injured in the incident, which happened yesterday at 2.50pm.

In a statement, South Yorkshire Police said a 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident and remains in custody today.
