UPDATE: Family pay tribute to Doncaster murder victim as police make formal identification

Police have named the Doncaster woman who was allegedly murdered at an address in Scawsby, Doncaster on Friday.


Gabrielle Stanley, 28, was discovered by police on Friday night at an address on Stanley Road, Scawsby, Doncaster.

She had sustained stab injuries and was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where sadly she later died.

Gabrielle’s father has issued the following family statement: “As a family we are completely devastated by the tragic loss of our daughter Gabrielle, we would like to say thank you, for the support we have received from friends and family.

“We would ask that if anyone has any information to assist the investigation to please contact the police.

“At this time we have nothing further to say and respectfully request to be left in peace at this difficult time.”

The body of a 36-year-old man, named as Simon Hall, was also found at the address.

The family of Simon Hall have issued the following statement: “We are devastated at the loss of our son and brother Simon.

“We would like to say that our thoughts are also with Gabrielle’s family.

“We would like to be left alone at this very difficult time and do not wish to say anything further. But would ask that if anybody has any information to assist the police, to please contact them.”

Detectives are currently not looking for anyone further in connection with these deaths.

Police are still waiting post mortem results.
