UP to 30 new jobs will be created in the Lane Top area of Sheffield with the opening of a new store.

The new Iceland Food store will open its doors on Thursday, July 14, on Elm Lane.

The store was previously a Netto, which had been trading in Lane Top for 17 years until it closed earlier this year.

Iceland will keep on staff from Netto and create another 30 jobs for the local community.

Area manager Mark Darnell said: “We are delighted to be opening our new store in Sheffield.

“We are pleased to be able to contribute to employment in the local area and help with reinvestment.”

Sheffield Lord Mayor Coun Sylvia Dunkley will be open the store’s doors for the first time at 9am.

Iceland Food has a wide selection of frozen foods and promises its customers free home delivery for anyone who spends more than £25.
