Unrealistic properties
My granddaughter and her fiance have had their names on the housing register since they were 16. They are now 22 and 23, and still living with their parents.
They are trying to save to get on the property ladder, but were bidding to get a two- bedroom house or flat via the web using their bidding number given to them from registration.
However, a letter from the council told them to stop bidding on unrealistic properties and they were told they won’t get a bid except on one-bedroom flats in an area no one will take, such as an estate rife with ASBOs or a hostel.
