MP PAUL Burstow visited Sheffield Carers’ Centre to meet some of the city’s 6,000 people who work unpaid to look after relatives or friends.

The Minister of Social Care with the Department of Health met eight Sheffield carers from a range of backgrounds, whose care work ranges from help with elderly relatives with dementia to looking after adult children with learning disabilities.

He also met staff at the centre on Bells Square, off Trippet Lane and learned more about the different types of support on offer.
