University up for award

The university’s integrated transport policy, which promotes sustainable travel to students, staff and locals, has been nominated in the prestigious national Green Gown Awards.

The university has promoted a cycle-to-work initiative and a new car sharing scheme.

Both schemes have been a huge success and have contributed to fewer cars on campus.

Within the first two weeks of the car-sharing initiative being set up, more than 200 members of the university signed up, while over 100 staff cycle to work.
