‘Uninhabitable’ house on fire in Sheffield

A house described by the fire service as being ‘uninhabitable’ is ablaze in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called out to Sandford Grove Road in Nether Edge at around 6pm this evening.

Three fire engines were orginally sent to the area but only two currently remain at the scene.

In a video shared online, thick black smoke can be seen billowing from a first floor window.

However, a fire service spokesperson decsribed the property as ‘uninhabitable’ and said no one has been injured.
