Unfair criticism

In answer to a recent correspondent, the role of Assistant Police and Crime Commissioner was advertised and there was a good selection of applicants.

I was involved with the interviews as one of a panel of three.

The other panel members were someone from HR and a member of staff.

The decision to appoint Sioned-Mair Richards was unanimous.

I cannot think how this could have been handled differently or better.

It is, therefore, unfair to criticise the arrangements and result.
