Undercover police and teenagers look for shops selling alcohol to underage children

Undercover police officers and teenagers carried out an alcohol test purchase operation in Sheffield - visiting 17 stores looking for staff serving underage customers.

The operation was carried out in south east Sheffield.

Inspector Jason Booth said: “Not one sold alcohol to our volunteers, which is great news. We do these operations periodically to ensure premises are not selling alcohol to young people who then may get involved in crime or anti-social behaviour not to mention putting themselves at risk of harm.”
