Police are reportedly surrounding the hotel in Adeje – named locally as the H10 Costa Adeje Palace – to make sure no-one enters or leaves.

The person infected is an Italian tourist from the country’s Lombardy region. He is believed to have been staying at the hotel for seven days with his wife.
