All boys football matches in the Sheffield and District Junior Sunday League have been cancelled until further notice amid coronavirus fears.

Ryan Lewis said: “Following latest government advice the league is suspended until further notice.”

He asked parents not to ‘ask what the plan is’ or ‘bombard us with emails’, saying time was needed to digest the latest government advice.

He added: “Any news will be sent out to clubs when it is available.”

The girls league has not yet released a statement.
