An hour later at about 3.30pm, officers were called to an address in Samuel Road in the Norfolk Park area where it is alleged that shots had been fired at a house.

No one was hurt but damage was caused to the side of the house.

Two suspects are reported to have fled the scene on a black and red motorbike.

Detective Sergeant John Yoxall said: “We believe these to be isolated, targeted incidents but we are treating them as linked.

“While I realise just how alarming incidents like these are, I would like to reassure you that we are treating them as an absolute priority for the area and although distressing, we do believe that they were targeted towards particular individuals.

“I would like to ask anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in either of those areas at the times mentioned to contact police.

“We also believe that in the second incident in Samuel Road, two suspected offenders left the area on a black and red motorbike. Did you see a motorbike with two people on it in the area?

“If you have any information, please contact us on 101 and quote either incident numbers 659 or 644 of April 4, 2016.
