Two men have been charged after a paramedic was allegedly assaulted while attending a call to a house in Chesterfield.
The ambulance service was called to Cordwell Avenue at 5pm on Christmas Day.
Paramedics contacted police when they arrived and while they waited one was allegedly assaulted and damage caused to the ambulance.
Officers arrived and arrested two men, aged 18 and 20.
The 20-year-old has been charged with affray, a public order offence, common assault, criminal damage and possession of a bladed article in public.
The 18-year-old has been charged with a public order offence and common assault.
They will be appear at North East Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
