Police said today it is now reported two men entered the bank and threatened staff with firearms.

It follows the force saying yesterday the robbery involved three masked men, with one member of staff in the bank assaulted during the robbery.

As the men left the scene, a stolen vehicle hit a female pedestrian in her 40s who needed hospital treatment.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “The investigation is ongoing and officers would urge anyone with information to please call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 203 of 29 January 2016.”
