Two appear in court charged with Sheffield murders

The case of a man accused of murdering his girlfriend and severing her head has been heard in court.

Aras Hussein, aged 20, of Herries Road, Shirecliffe, did not appear for the hearing at Sheffield Crown Court.

He is accused of murdering 18-year-old Reema Ramzan in Herries Road last June.

He is also accused of attacking staff at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.

His trial has been listed for March 24.

■ A woman has appeared in court charged with murdering a 93-year-old woman in Fulwood, Sheffield.

Susan Potts, aged 63, of Uxbridge, Middlesex, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Gladys Allen, of Crimicar Lane.

The case was adjourned until May.
