Two 16-year-old boys arrested for drugs and dangerous driving after stealing and crashing Audi in Sheffield

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested for drug offences and dangerous driving after allegedly stealing an Audi and crashing it after a police chase.

South Yorkshire Police have confirmed that the two teenage boys were detained after the green Audi A3 they were travelling in failed to stop at Gleadless Town End, Sheffield.

The vehicle crashed and the two boys were detained by officers on suspicion of dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of cannabis, earlier today (May 18).

Today, the force has also been undertaking Operation Trivium, in which dangerous and illegal drivers were targeted in Rotherham.

Seven wanted people were arrested, £1,000 in unpaid fines was collected and one person was arrested for drug driving.
