Twenty jobs at new store

TWENTY jobs will be created when Netto opens its fourth store in the Barnsley. area.

The new shop on Houghton Road, Thurnscoe, will open on Thursday, September 20. It will be the chain’s 21st in South Yorkshire and 181st in the country.

Entertainment on the day will be provided by the Netto trad jazz band, Bubbles the Clown and his sidekick Scotty the Dog. Free food, drink and balloons will also be available.

All cardboard and plastic will be recycled, the store’s heat emissions will be re-used and an energy efficient lighting system installed.

A preview evening will be held on Wednesday, September 19 from 6pm.
