Legendary film and television actor Brian Blessed is to visit Mexborough later this week.
The big-voiced star of stage and screen will visit the hospital where he was born to help bury a time capsule.
From 2pm on Wednesday, the actor will be in the courtyard of the new Fred and Ann Green Rehabilitation Centre at Montagu Hospital for the capsule burying ceremony.
Brian, who was born in Montagu and grew up in Goldthorpe, will help bury two time capsules celebrating construction of the new centre.
One time capsule has been filled by children from St John The Baptist C of E Primary School in Mexborough. The second has been filled by staff and volunteers at Montagu Hospital.
The Fred and Ann Green Rehabilitation Centre will be the first unit of its kind in the UK to provide intensive therapeutic, nursing and medical care seven days a week for people recovering from serious illnesses or injuries like stroke, amputation and road traffic accidents when it opens this autumn.
