Castle Academy and Lower Meadow Primary School will both become part of the Reach4 Academy Trust in June and July respectively, to join members Carrfield, Goosacre, The Hill, and Highgate Primary from the Dearne area, and Sheffield’s Hartley Brook and Hatfield Academies.

Reach4 was established last year, as a sister trust to REAch2, the largest primary academy trust in the country.

It is led jointly by Sir Steve Lancashire, the founder of REAch2 and Reach4, and Libby Nicholas, an ‘outstanding’ head and experienced national education leader.

Libby Nicholas said: “We look forward to working with Castle Academy and Lower Meadow to ensure every child has the best possible education throughout their time with us.”

Reach4 ultimately hopes to work across the country.
