Truck naming backs appeal

A CEREMONY took place at a north Derbyshire lorry depot where a truck was named in honour of the Royal British Legion as the organisation marks its 90th anniversary.

The vehicle, owned by national distribution firm Eddie Stobart, was named ‘Poppy 90’ at the event, at the Tesco depot, in Clowne, near Chesterfield.

The naming was carried out by Carol Clarke, Poppy Appeal organiser for Renishaw, who had won the chance to name an Eddie Stobart truck as a prize in a raffle during a previous open day event at the depot.
