Smith and McFarlane, as well as a third man, Abdullah Mohammed, 23, will also be sentenced for additional charges including threats to kill, firearms and drugs offences they were all charged with, and all pleaded guilty to, in connection with the murder investigation.

Mr Bodell was shot at least three times in the gun attack, a post mortem examination revealed.

He had been out drinking with two friends, brothers Corrie and Christopher Allen, on the night he was murdered.

The jury heard there was a feud between Corrie Allen and Marvis Smith, who headed-up a drug dealing gang.

In the hours prior to the murder, a confrontation between the Allens and associates of Marvis Smith occurred at the Embassy Club, in Mansfield Road, Intake.

Following the confrontation, Corrie Allen returned with a shotgun and fired it in the club’s car park.

After the incident, Mr Bodell went with the Allen brothers to their mother’s home, close to Manor Fields Park, where he was shot on wasteland.

Smith, McFarlane and Pierre were remanded in custody after being found guilty in February.

Today they will discover the number of years they will spend behind bars.
