Tributes paid to young Sheffield man killed in crash

Tributes have been paid to a Sheffield man killed in a crash last week.

Reece Parkin, aged 21, from Bradfield, died in a collision on the A616 bypass between Wortley and Tankersley last Friday morning.

His blue Vauxhall Astra was involved in a smash with a white Mercedes van and Reece died at the scene.

The 42-year-old driver of the van escaped without serious injuries.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.

Posting on Facebook, Jennifer Louise Nowill said she loved Reece 'like a son', referring to him living with her family for two years when he was younger.

She said: "R.I.P Reece. Loved you like a son.

"Reece lived with us for about two years. He was like a son. He was 15 when we took him in."

Gillian Rowe said: " So sad. Taken far too soon."

Colin Jones said he remembered Reece liking to help him work o cars when he was younger.

Jayne Brearley described him as a 'lovely young man' and Jaime David described him as 'a good lad'.
