Tributes have been paid to a dad-of-two killed in a car crash in Sheffield.

Troy Brealey was travelling along the A57, near Beighton, when he was involved in a head-on collision on Tuesday afternoon.

He was driving a red Audi A3 from the Beighton Road roundabout towards Swallownest when he was involved in a crash with a white Ford Transit van travelling in the opposite direction.

South Yorkshire Police said Troy, who had two sons, crossed onto the opposite side of the road on a bend.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The van driver, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A police investigation is underway.

Posting on Facebook, Dale Halifax wrote: "Still can't believe it me. Nicest guy."

Damion Wilcox added: "What a lovely kid. So nice. RIP."

Martin Halifax described Troy as a 'top lad' who was 'taken too soon.'

Reece Ellis added: "I am absolutely gutted to hear this sad news.

"I can’t believe it. Such a top bloke. Fly high with the angels bro. Absolutely gutted."
