Dozens turned out to remember Mark Travis, who worked and then ran the Pheasant Inn at Sheffield Lane Top for around 20 years.

Bikers from across the region lead by Mark's dad Mick, 69, rode with the hearse as it made its way to City Road Crematorium.

The hearse made a stop at the pub, once a popular music venue but now lies empty.

Family friends and regulars from the Pheasant Inn paid their respects to the granddad-of-two in a moving service last week.

Mark, who was nicknamed 'Tango' by friends for his bright orange motorbike, was described as a 'loving' and 'caring' by his daughter Chloe, 20.

The family suffered another tragedy just last year when Mark's eldest son Kyle died in a road traffic collision on Derek Dooley Way.

Mark's daughter Chloe from Shiregreen paid tribute to her dad.

She said: "The last few weeks seeing him really poorly has been really sad and even though they'll be my most recent memories of him, I'll remember him as a bubbly, loving and caring person.

"The pub was his life. He always worked hard to provide for me and my brothers when we were growing up and we never went without.

"He was always there for us all, I remember bonfire nights and things he used to do for us all.

"I'll have good memories of living in the pub with dad - it was certainly different to other kids who I went to school with.

"Despite the sadness being dad's funeral, it was a really good day. The service was rammed and it was nice to see so many people turn out for him.

"The bikers were amazing and dad would have loved to have seen it all."
