A part-time delivery driver, killed when his van collided with a lorry on the main Doncaster to Rotherham road, was a ‘lovely, lovely boy’, his mother told an inquest.

The hearing into Cieran Isaac Morshead’s death at Hooton Roberts on November 4 has been adjourned until next year by Coroner Nicola Mundy.

Cieran, aged 22, of Cranfield Close, Armthorpe, was certified dead only a few minutes after the crash on Doncaster Road just after 7am when he was driving a newspaper delivery van.

He also had a part-time job at Shooters bar in Doncaster town centre. His mum, Joanne Huckett, said: “He was very well known in Silver Street and would look out for people and always cared for the underdog. He was a lovely, lovely boy who always cared for others.”
