Trespass memories

Have your say

to mark the 80th anniversary of the 1932 Kinder Scout mass trespass in which five ramblers were jailed, a new book on the protest is being published.

If readers have friends or relations who were involved in the trespass we would like to include their names and memories in the book. Why did they take part? What did they remember of the day? Did they come up against the keepers? Did they make their way to the top unopposed?

Use your local shops

DURING my lunch break from my domestic chores I visited my local grocery store, Mick & Jenny’s in Herdings where the service is first class. It gives you the incentive to use your local shops.

I owe Lily so much

i WAS delighted to read the tribute to the remarkable Lily White. Many years ago I was in her Tranx group, addicted to tranquillisers which, in those days, were prescribed like Smarties. With the help of Lily and her group I became able to live without Ativan and, obviously, from your article, her priceless work goes on.

I am amazed that Lily has not been recommended for an honour from the Queen. For my money, she would be Dame Lily Wilson. I, and many others, owe her so much.
