Trees and hotels
The other day, I read that tree-lined roads could present a problem, especially when in full leaf as the pollution from vehicles could not easily escape from the green 'tunnel' into the upper atmosphere.
I wonder, therefore, as a compromise the trees could be expertly pruned, thereby reducing the amount of greenery, but not destroying it entirely.
I believe this would also reduce the extent of root growth, though I am not certain on this point.
