Trees 40, Wincobank 0

I was told by someone who lives in that road that by the time it was light there were as many as 40 police officers there.

Six weeks ago the whole of upper and lower Wincobank was bricked by three men in a car.

There was not a sign of a single police officer for 24 hours.

The following evening in disgust and fear, I called the police and told them I was coming down in my dressing gown with my guide dog for protection, as there wasn’t a single officer to be seen and I was very frightened the yobs would return.

Two officers did come and assured me it was probably just a single act of vandalism.

I assured them I didn’t think that was the case.

A day later the men returned and bricked the rest of Wincobank.

I can only believe, when seven trees in Rustlings Road get 40 officers and the whole of Wincobank results in none, that the police response is regional.
