A report to the authority’s planning and highways committee states that a number of mature trees had been felled on land off Carter Knowle Road.

It states: “On inspection, felling operations had recently ceased and the majority of trees in the interior of the site had been removed.”

The preservation order is to protect ten trees on the western boundary of the site.

The order was confirmed at the council’s planning and highways committee at Sheffield Town Hall on Tuesday, July 24.
